HOT SUMMER PATIOS CONTEST
FYIOttawa.com, The Ottawa Sun, and our Hot Summer Patios want you to enjoy the great outdoors from the comfort of some of Ottawa’s best outdoor spots. So we’re teaming up to offer nine lucky winners a $25 gift certificate to one of our Hot Summer Patios in weekly draws through the Labour Day Weekend.

To participate, simply click on one of the featured establishments in our Hot Summer Patios promotion and then find the entry form and fill it out in its entirety.

Your name will be entered into our weekly draws for $25 gift certificates at our participating Hot Summer Patios. Those aged 19-and-older can enter once each day, and winners will be announced on the website in the Bars and Clubs section each Tuesday by noon. Winners will have seven days to claim their prize at the Ottawa Sun / FYI Ottawa offices at 380 Hunt Club Road during regular business hours. The gift certificates are good through at least Sept. 30, 2001 at the descretion of the participating establishment.

Contest Rules and Regulations:

  1. Draws will be made each Tuesday morning from all eligible entrants submitted by midnight of each Monday (July 23 and 30, August 6, 13, 20 and 27, and Sept. 3, 2001) during the contest period. Winners will be selected by random draw. The winners’ names will appear in the Bars and Clubs section of FYIOttawa by noon of the Tuesday on which the draw occurs. The winners can pick up their Gift Certificates at the Ottawa Sun / FYIOttawa reception desk anytime during office hours at 380 Hunt Club Rd. (9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday-Sunday).
  2. WINNERS WILL NOT BE NOTIFIED BY PHONE OR E-MAIL. You must check the Bars and Clubs Section to determine if you are a winner.
  3. Due to provincial licensing requirements, this contest is not open to residents of Quebec.
  4. No purchase is necessary.
  5. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.
  6. Retail value of each prize package is $25.
  7. Employees of the Ottawa Sun, FYIOttawa.com and contest sponsors at any time during the duration of the contest are not eligible to win prizes.
  8. A maximum of one online entry per person, per day will be accepted.
  9. Winners must at least 19 years of age, and must be prepared to provide photo ID to claim their prize.
  10. Decision of the judges is final.
  11. Prizes must be accepted as awarded and cannot be exchanged for cash or other considerations.
  12. Contest organizers reserve the right to amend these rules and regulations as required.
  13. Contest organizers are not liable or responsible for any damage or injury which arises as a result of the awarding of a prize in this promotion.
